Science 'Crude rough work, but with a certain amount of vigour in it'. Pupil Room 'Tries in his way, but wants more real grit to master difficulties'. House Master's Report 'If made more of a 'spartan' will become a 'man'. I hope his foot will be successfully cured'. 'Must fight the tendency towards soft living - he is such a nice boy that all he needs is to keep himself hard and tough'.
