Watercolour on paper, The Inigo Jones Portico, Houghton House, Bedfordshire, by Sir Albert Edward Richardson KCVO, PRA (London 1880 – 1967). Signed and dated 1944 l.r. Letter affixed to rear of mount, from Richardson to Fairhaven noting Inigo Jones added the porticoes in 1615, his first work of note, Aug 28th 1945. Mounted on card.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
