On back, written by Queen Mary in 1930 according to Bunt, is 'Queen Victoria and King Louis Philippe'. Pencil note 'Another copy of this is in the Windsor Castle Library' hand of Sir Owen Morshead, Royal Librarian. Mounted on card.The Queen on the arm of the French King, entering St George's Hall from the Grand Reception Room after investing him with the Order of the Garter.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
