Watercolour on paper, with highlights in oil, Windsor from the River, 1860 by George Bryant Campion (c.1796 - Munich 1870. Signed 'Geo B Campion' l.l. Cattle, peasants and timber cart on left bank of river, Royal Barge on river, two swans, Castle beyond, rainbow arching over castle. Label on mount 'Windsor circa 1860, J.B. Campion'. Mounted on card.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
