Watercolour on paper, South Front, Benthall Hall, Shropshire by John Hornby Law (fl.1866-1870). View of the south front of Benthall Hall, a young lady wearing a red jacket and long black skirt feeds doves outside the porch door; brown dog in foreground, standing in front of the vista through to the garden. Glazed, modern rococo gilt frame, wash borders to mount. Unframed and rebound into original album (BHH/D/089) 2005. 1870 (circa).

Painted by John Hornby Maw circa 1870. Given to the National Trust by Mr. Hugh Workman in June 1980.
