Summary
Print, engraving, Fox Hunting No.3 - La Chasse Au Renard (after William Samuel Howitt) by James Godby (1790-1815) and Henri Merke (b.Niederweningen fl.c.1800 -c.1820). One of a set of six prints of hunting scenes. A river scene with hills and a tree to the left. A group of four main male figures are on horseback; one to the left, one in foreground, two in the background surrounded by hunting hounds; wearing riding hats, red jacket and each holding a riding crop. Inscribed 'FOX HUNTING No3 LA CHASSE AU RENARD'.
