Summary
Print, line engraving, Lady Jane Grey, Queen (1537 - 1554) (after Hans Holbein the younger) by Robert William Sievier (London 1794 - London 1865). An early nineteenth century engraved portrait of Lady Jane Grey. Depicts a young woman's head and shoulders, facing right her hair covered by a scarf and hat, the brim turned back and decorated with pearls and jewels. She is wearing a dress heavily braided, the sleeves laced to the bodice, puffed and slashed to reveal an undergarment. She wears a necklace with a pendant of two circular jewels and a peal. The print includes the title and inscription concerning the makers.
