Summary
An early nineteenth century handheld fire screen with papier-mache scalloped-edged rectangular panel and turned handle painted gold and red. The panel painted the 'Port and Lake of Como'; in the foreground a harbour with figures and boats against a background of buildings and mountains. Painted on the reverse with black lacquer.
