Summary
A late nineteenth century, wall clock in a round mahogany case. Wooden box to the rear containing the inner mechanism, with a hinged opening at the base. Circular mahogany case around the white dial plate which has a chapter ring with painted Roman numerals. Pointed brass hands and winding hole below centre of dial; hinged glazed door covering dial.
Provenance
Possibly original to the house. In the 1879 Inventory under Still Room, there is a mention of a 'timepiece in wood case on oak bracket' possibly referring to this clock.
