Summary
A pulpit made from two sides of panelled wood, one side with a circular finial; fitted to the wall of chapel. The sides have inset columns to the corners with a bead at either end. The front has a fitted book-stand mounted on a balustrade shaped mount; decorated with a raised pierced carving of a scallop with scrolling foliage.
Provenance
This pulpit was installed during restoration work in the early 1970s and replaces an earlier nineteenth century one, designed by Wyatt (LH F1/42 - former Lyme inventory number). The work was carried out under the direction of John Fowler. (stated on old inventory card)
