Summary
An early nineteenth century, plaster sculpture of a knight's head and shoulders. The head is covered by a visored helmet with plumage. This knight's head used to sit on one side of the fireplace in the Entrance Hall at Lyme during the nineteenth century.
Provenance
Original to the house. Originally one of a pair of heads part of Lewis Wyatt's alterations which topped the fireplace in the Entrance Hall in the early nineteenth century. The fireplace and plaster heads were removed in 1903 and were replaced by decorators Phillipe and Amadee Joubert's alterations.
