Summary
Watercolour, The Entrance Hall, Lyme Park, by Augustus John Cuthbert Hare (Rome 1834 – St Leonards 1903). Depicting the North wall with the Chapel door to the left. The large portrait (the Black Prince) has been swung out revealing the alcove through which the Drawing Room visible and a female figure wearing a black dress is visible through the alcove. Two paintings flank the alcove, which has a banner above and a buffet stands below displaying a range of blue and white ceramics. Painted in a sketchy style; mounted within frame.
