Summary
An open armchair, one of a pair of walnut-framed upholstered open armchairs, English, circa 1890. Having a foliate-carved arched toprail set between scrolls and line-moulded uprights with attenuated scroll finials. The rectangular back panel upholstered and between open arms with three slender baluster-form spindles and on moulded arm supports. The stuff-over seat raised on turned and ring-turned front legs fitted with brass castors.
