Summary
An ebonized and parcel-gilt child's chair, French, mid-19th century. Simulating bamboo, highlighted with parcel-gilding, the back with four horizontal rails, the upper pair joined by three crossed splats, all centred by a gilt ball. The stuff-over seat upholstered in crimson and pink floral damask, and raised on tapering legs joined by slender stretchers.
