Summary
An ash and beech rush-seated chair, one of a matched set of six ash and beech rush-seated chairs, Lancashire/Cheshire, mid-19th century. The back with four graduated ogee-shaped splats between uprights turned with a ring just above the level of the seat. The rush seat raised on baluster- and column-turned front legs with pad feet. The front stretcher turned with three swellings, and with three pairs of plain side and rear stretchers.
