Summary
An ash rush-seated chair, one of a matched set of six ash and beech rush-seated chairs, Lancashire/Cheshire, mid-19th century. The back with four graduated and arched splats with ogee-shaped bottom edge between uprights topped by a flattened turned finial. The rush seat raised on ring-turned columnar front legs with stepped ball feet. And with a pair of plain stretchers to the rear and to each side.

Purchased by the National Trust in 2012.
