Summary
An ash rush-seated chair, one of a matched set of six ash and beech rush-seated chairs, Lancashire/Cheshire, mid-19th century. The back with five graduated splats, shaped to both their top and bottom edges. The rush seat raised on plainly-turned front legs joined by a front stretcher turned as a pair of opposing balusters. And with two pairs of side stretchers and a single rear stretcher.
