Summary
On the staircase is a three light window glazed into stonework in rectangular quarry glazing in sheet glass in 5/16” flat section lead. The two outer lights are fixed lights, the centre light has a side hung ferrous casement with an exterior sprung stay, probably 17thC. This casement is operational but the exterior stay is heavily rusted. The leaded lights have 4 internal ferrous ½” round section glazing bars per light. They are tied to these with copper ties which are intact. There are 5 19thC heraldic devices again hung in front of the leaded lights on ferrous chains. These are 494875.3 - 494875.7
