Summary
A red leather bound ledger used as the accounts ledger for Southwell Union Workhouse, Nottinghamshire. It contains a handwritten account of stock or items which were consumed or used by the inmates and staff, entered onto pages with printed forms. There is a title page of instructions at the beginning of the ledger.
Provenance
Acquired by the National Trust when The Workhouse and associated buildings were purchased in 1997.
