Summary
Oak fourposter bed, heavily carved, tester divided into 14 panels, the headboard divided into 12 panels carved with a variety of diamond and circular patterns and the footboard carved on the top in relief '1686' and with 'GBE', the initals of 17th century George and Ellinor Browne, turned posts at each end, two panels with interlace and leaf forms. Base with split baluster work and carved with incised circles, legs of unequal length incised with diamond, circle and octagonal forms, lower legs encased in oak boards. Carved panels by George Browne (1834 - 1914).
