Caption
Llanerchaeron is home to a fine collection of original Edwardian carpets. This carpet, which can be seen in Captain Lewes' bedroom and dressing room, is a machine-made Axminster carpet in the Art Nouveau style. In the manner of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, it blends the strong right angles of Modernism with Art Noveau’s subtle curves and floral motifs.
