Summary
A stuffed otter head, mounted on a shield-shaped wooden plaque, as a trophy. The plaque is polished wood with gilt lettering. Lettering below the head reads 'O.H.H, Tivy, June 3rd 1875'. The O.H.H initials are stylised with the 'H's beside each other superimposed on the 'O' in the background. The inscription on the front is also repeated on the reverse of the plaque in handwritten pencil. The reverse is also marked with the initials 'Dr.R.L'.

An item from the Llanerchaeron collection, left to the National Trust in the will of John Powell Ponsonby Lewes in 1989
