Summary
A stuffed fox mask head, and brush, mounted on a shield-shaped wooden plaque, as a trophy. The plaque is painted dark blue with imprint of originally gilded lettering. The lettering reads 'Feb 25th 1884, found at Bargoed killed at Newinn, time 3 hours'. On the reverse of the plaque, written in pencil 'with brush'.

An item from the Llanerchaeron collection, left to the National Trust in the will of John Powell Ponsonby Lewes in 1989
