Summary
Photograph - Aerofilms 1956 and another from further north. Bare west gardens silted ponds, tennis court bottom right with Macrocarpa, was leveled, cut and buried in 1965 and the area later replanted as orchard of old perry pears. Note pigeon house ruin before restoration and incorporation with butlers cottage 1965, renamed Hinds Cottage by Colonel and Mrs Grinling, when the Trust agreed to realine the boundary. Both the tall tree by the side of path and sundial near tennis court have been removed since 1949. Pair of urns have moved from terrace. Fencing in park removed. Amongst other inscriptions on the reverse is written in pencil "Dyrham from the air about 1956". Stamped "AEROFILMS ... etc" on reverse.
