Summary
Door lock - The design is Moorish, which was at that time the vogue. He has seen many comparable designs in North Africa. Steel rim lock and bolt, in pierced and engraved brass case. By John Wilkes of Birmingham, one is signed 'J.W.' but see Henry Waltons' trade card - Walton may have retailed Wilkes' locks? See guide book page 13. Ref Lenygon fig.276 page 247.
