Summary
Heavy Cavalry officer's sword, Pattern 1821, with slightly curved steel blade, etched and decorated with VR and crown. Star of David and brass insert proved. Steel knuckle guard with emblem and crown. Sharkskin, wire-bound grip. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings. Brown leather braided tassel (420 mm long). 1821 (circa)
Provenance
Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1956 and given to National Trust in 1961.
