An ormolu-mounted kingwood display cabinet, French, circa 1880, the top with breche d'Alep marble and egg and dart border, the frieze with scrolling foliage and central tablet depicting a cherub with a chisel (emblematic of Sculpture), the pair of glazed doors and sides with beaded border mounts and flanked by angles applied with mounts of musical trophies, ribbons and flowering urns, the interior with felt-covered shelves and mirrored back, on toupie feet.
