Summary
One of a set of three Liverpool vases of classic form with caryatid double handles and panels of rustic scenes with horse and cattle. After Herring, reserved on a crimson ground enriched with fine gold burnishing. Maker's mark - liver bird within a wreath and Herculaneum Liverpool printed in red. 1835 (circa).
