Summary
Leaded lights on the ground floor. There are two windows to the room: A) A four light window with timber frame and single transom. The window has four fixed lights in the lower tier ; in the upper tier the two central lights are Crittal type opening casements. The lower tier is leaded into rectangular quarries in strong tints of English antique glass. The lead is 3/8” round section. There are no tie bars, which almost certainly means that the leads have steel cores to support the panels. The small upper tier panels house a collection of 19th century stained and painted glass fragments which are leaded into a collage. B) A three light window in a timber partition to the corridor, which is effectively a borrowed light. This window has 3 lights and is leaded in rectangular quarries of white cylinder glass in ½” round section lead. In the centre light is a small assemblage of 14th century fragments – almost certainly from church glazing- again there are no tie bars.
