Summary
Vase, ironstone china, spreading octagonal foot with upright body, curved shoulder and long, flaring neck, handles in the form of swans from underside of rim to upper shoulder, G.M. & C.J. Mason, Lane Delph, Stoke-on-Trent, 1813-29; red ground to body, green ground to neck, bands of underglaze blue and gilt to foot and lower neck, the body decorated with a painted scroll depicting a landscape, against a ground pattern of branches of prunus blossom, the neck with stylised antiques and flowers, the handles, rim and foot with gilt details.
