Summary
Plaster on square plaster plinth, Henry John Cockayne Cust (1861-1917), Emmeline Mary Elizabeth Cust (1867-1955), c.1905. A bust of Harry Cust by his wife Emmeline ‘Nina’ Cust. Harry is depicted in his 40s with moustache and hair swept to right. He wears a high-collared wool coat and an open-neck shirt underneath.
Full description
This cast a preparatory work for NT 436777: Nina Cust’s marble bust of Harry signed and dated 1905. In the final marble version Harry’s moustache is longer and he wears an open-neck shirt with no coat. Alice Rylance-Watson October 2018
