Summary
A mahogany and inlaid linen press, English, circa 1840. The moulded cornice and fluted frieze inlaid with star motifs above a pair of twin panelled cupboard doors, the mouldings with inverted corners and applied roundels, the interior originally fitted with slides, now missing. The lower section with two short and two long drawers raised on turned feet and castors.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow (b.1936) in 1984.
