Summary
A canopy bedstead, English, 19th century. The canopy with arched and moulded cornice, close covered with green brocade and with shaped fringed and braided pelmet. The head and footboards of scrolled outline similarly covered and the foot mounted with an entwined 'B' monogram. The full-length curtains are of celadon silk.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow (b.1936) in 1984.
