Summary
A mahogany linen press< English, late 19th century. With two false drawers above two real drawers in the base. Moulded angular cornice with metopes above doors each with a single panel. Narrow beaded edges to drawers and heavy gilt metal handles. Low bracket feet on castors.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow (b.1936) in 1984.
