Summary
A marquetry inlaid kingwood and rosewood narrow bedside chest of drawers or petit commode, French, circa 1880. With four short drawers and a hinged double false drawer forming a fall and probably originally used for a pot, with a brown and grey marble top.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow (b.1936) in 1984.
