Summary
A chinoiserie table cabinet, Chinese Export, mid 19th century. Raised on a faux bamboo ebonised and parcel gilt stand, probably English, late 19th century. The cabinet with a pair of panelled cupboard doors with oval raised medallions to the front decorated with Chinese figures within scrolling floral borders, opening to reveal five drawers. The drawer backs signed in Chinese script.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow (b.1936) in 1984.
