Summary
A brown leather covered Visitors' Book presented to Lord and Lady Brownlow (The 6th Baron) by Tallulah Bankhead on the 18th of October 1927. Contained within are the details of visitors to Belton House up to the 18th of October 1952 when the book was discontinued due to a new item being presented to the couple on the occasion of their Silver Wedding. At the end of the book is a note that the Lady Brownlow (Kitty) died 5 weeks and 5 days after the event and the last pages are in the form of a book of condolence covering the period 29 November to I December 1952. Inserted in the Book is a photograph of Dorothy, Lady Brownlow, as a young lady accompanied by two small boys in swimming costumes; on the reverse is written in manuscript: 'For Perry, a particularly gay picture of his beloved Dottie. With affection always, Dorothy. October 1966.'
