Summary
An album of plates depicting scenes from Italy. Bound in green canvas and marked on the spine, 'Northern Italy' and dated 1877. Included in the book are some loose pencil sketches one marked 'HJC Cust' Henry (Harry) John Cockayne Cust was born on 10 October 1861. He was the son of Henry Francis Cockayne-Cust and Sara Jane Cookson. He married Emmeline Mary Elizabeth Welby-Gregory, daughter of Sir William Welby-Gregory, 4th Bt., on 11 October 1893. He was Unionist M.P for Lincolnshire, 1890-1895 and Bermondsey 1900-1906. He was editor of the Pall Mall Gazette 1892-1896. He died on 2 March 1917 at age 55, without issue.
