Summary
An envelope containing nine letters written by Maude Buckle to her son Peregrine and 7 from Peregrine to his Mother. They include descriptions of her life during overseas postings whilst her husband was serving in the Army and before his elevation to the ownership of Belton House, and details of the problems incurred with Adelbert's will after his death in 1927. The envelope also includes some papers relating to the Third Earl's accounts for 1852 and the stock of Belton House wine cellars in 1863.
