Summary
Pen and ink on white paper with black border, Three Grecian Girls by Louisa Anne Stuart, Marchioness of Waterford (Paris 1818 – Ford 1891). Three young women in a row the centre figure stands slightly forward, holding the hands of the two figures on either side at hip level. Their heads and bodies incline towards hers. Related Works Comments - This may be a picture belonging to the Maiden Song sequence. Alternatively it may be a sketch of the three Graces, a very similar sketch of this subject is to be found in the Cochrane album E1718, VandA M. Date - 1860-1875.
