Summary
Watercolour over pencil on paper, Painted in the form of an arch with square top. The scene is set in an interior of dark browns and greens, the details are obscure, except for the lower portion of a leaded window in top right comer. Centre a man, full length and turned to his left, on his lap is a large tome. Kneeling on the floor beside him, is a boy angled towards the front right comer of the picture.
