Summary
Black leather-bound box with hinged lid, Royal arms in gold on front and patterned green lining to interior. Contains a tan coloured wax seal, badly cracked, attached by red cord to letters patent on vellum dated 16th March 1858, appointing Disraeli Under Treasurer of the Exchequer. Inscribed 'Under-Treasurer of the Exchequer./ Right Honble. Benjamin Disraeli.'
