Summary
A blue cloth-bound box containing a collection of 108 albumin photographs mounted on card depicting The Arctic Expedition of 1875-6 and two identical paper catalogues. A paper letter pinned to the inner lid presents the box of photographs to the Earl of Beaconsfield from the Admiralty.
Provenance
Presented to Benjamin Disraeli by the Admirality 4th July, 1877. Presumably in thanks for Disraeli's endorsement of the expedition during his second term as Prime Minister (1874-1880).
