Summary

One of a pair of zebrawood open bookcases, English, circa 1820-1830. Fitted in the niche to right-hand side of the fireplace in The Study, the upper section of each with simple flat cornice and plain frieze above three divided open shelves fronted with gilt-metal mounted projecting columns, the lower section enclosed by a pair of panelled cupboards with pronounced striped figuring, on shallow plinth.
