Summary
An ebonised easy armchair, English, circa 1850. Ball-turned throughout, the rectangular back and arms with spindle galleries, fitted with squab cushions to the caned seat and the back in patterned cotton depicting flowers and fruit on a red ground, the slightly tapering legs joined by stretchers and fitted with castors. Commissioned locally in High Wycombe by Disraeli.
