Summary
A figured walnut and floral marquetry games table, English, circa 1850. Of serpentine outline and gilt-metal mounted, the hinged swivel top opening to green baize, the top with central design of a basket of flowers in sycamore, harewood and rosewood within an ebonised cartouche, the outer crossbanded border with floral swag detail and similar swags to the friezes, the top with gilt metal cabochon edge, the cabriole legs applied with cherubic cabochon mounts to the knees and sabots to the feet.
