Summary
Print, coloured lithograph, Royal Mausoleum at Frogmore with the tomb of Prince Albert, Prince Consort (1819-1861) and with Queen Victoria (1819-1901) after Henry William Brewer (Oxford 1836 -1903). Interior of the Royal Mausoleum at Frogmore. Prince Albert's tomb in centre, figure of the Queen with lady in blue entering from left. Inscribed 'The Royal Mausoleum/ Frogmore'. Label on reverse 'The Royal Mausoleum/ at/ Frogmore/ presented by the Queen'. The original watercolour dated 1869 is in the Royal Collection RL19745. On 27 March 1869 the Queen drove to the Mausoleum to meet Brewer at the recommendation of Prince Arthur and Colonel Elphinstone, who presented him to her.
