Summary
Pair of figures of a gardener and gardener's companion, bone china, enamelled in colours and gilt. Marks crossed swords, D and crown in red. Flanked by the initials SH and with a monogram standing perhaps for PWL. Derby, about 1861-1880. The figure of the gardener is thought to have been first modelled around 1793-1795 by William Coffee.
