Summary
A handwritten letter dated: 26th March 34 on paper headed: ASHWELL HALL, / OAKHAM. The letter reads: Dear Mr. Cohbugh / In answer to your / letter of 23rd March / will you please inform / Mr Henry Betterton that I have / shown ou (sic) the enclosed list / which are the various / articles which were left / in trust for Miss Gibbs by her father. / There of course nothing / further to do about the / furniture as long as / Miss Gibbs decides with / me - & I consider it / would be advisable to / have the jewelry & / silver locked away until / she attains 21 in September / or marries under that / age.
