Summary
A leather sword bag initialled: AGC. (Anthony Gordon Cunard, son of Edith Mary Howard and Sir Gordon Cunard). There are three shipping labels attached to the bag. A GWR label addressed on the reverse in blue: Commander A G Cunard / 18 Norfolk Road / St Johns Wood. A second label from L. M. & S. RY printed with SIR GORDON CUNARD has been annotated: Victor / Putenhall. The third, an OHMS label has the address: Commander A G Cunard RN / C/O PADDINGTON STATION LONDON / GOODS TRAIN / CARRIAGE FORWARD / TO BE CALLED FOR.
